How a big dream for families became a home for thousands in Orlando
We're So Glad You Found Us
FamilyLife started with a pretty simple idea: what if church was a place the whole family actually wanted to be? Not just tolerated, not just endured — but genuinely loved. That dream took root right here in Orlando, and it's been growing ever since.
Pastor Jonathan Rivera — most people just call him Pastor J — and his wife Amanda know what family life really looks like. They've got four kids and, by their own admission, a very loud house. They didn't start FamilyLife with a polished plan or a slick brand strategy. They started it because they believed families deserved a church that met them where they were — messy, busy, real life and all.
What's happened since then has been nothing short of incredible. Families from all across Orlando have found their way through our doors, and so many of them say the same thing: this place feels different. It's bright, it's fun, it's alive — and it's genuinely for everyone, from the littlest babies in our nursery to the grandparents cheering them on.
Today, FamilyLife is a large, non-denominational church with three Sunday services and a community of people who are all in on the same mission: helping families love God, love each other, and have a blast doing it. That's not just a tagline around here — it's how we actually try to live. We're so glad your family is here.

What We Believe
We believe in one God who exists as three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He's not distant or disconnected; He's a personal, loving God who knows you by name and is deeply invested in your life and your family.
We believe Jesus is fully God and fully human — that He lived a real life, died on a real cross, and rose from the dead three days later. That's not just ancient history; it's the foundation of everything we believe and everything we do.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our ultimate guide for life, faith, and family. It's not just an old book — it's alive, relevant, and full of wisdom for everything you're walking through right now.
We believe that every person needs a relationship with God, and that relationship is made possible through Jesus alone — not through being good enough or doing enough. It's a gift, available to anyone who puts their trust in Him.
We believe the Holy Spirit is actively at work in the world and in the lives of believers today. He guides us, comforts us, gives us strength, and helps us become more and more like Jesus over time.
